            The Stories Behind Special Moments Arshad Nadeem Pakistan’s Javelin Throwing Star Olympic Gold Medalist Arshad made history by winning Pakistan’s first-ever individual Olympic gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He also set a new Olympic record with a monstrous throw of 92.97 meters. Commonwealth Games Champion He clinched the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Asian Games Silver Medalist Arshad secured the silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games.     Independence Day   On 14th August 1947, Pakistan emerged as a free nation, fulfilling Allama Iqbal’s dream under Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s leadership. Built on unity, faith, and discipline, independence came after great struggle and sacrifice. As we celebrate this day, we honor those who fought for our freedom and renew our commitment to building a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan. Happy Independence Day August 14, 2024         Iqbal Day Celebrations   Iqbal Day Celebrations: Reflecting on the Legacy of “Allama Iqbal” Patriotic Poet and National Icon. saMas Charity hosts Iqbal Day Celebration on 9 November 2023 for beneficiary Students. Our students, under the saMas Charity program participated actively in various ways during the Iqbal Day event. See the Happenings 6 September  September 6 is observed as Defense Day in Pakistan to honor the bravery of the armed forces during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. It marks the day when Pakistan defended against an unexpected attack by India on Lahore. The day is celebrated with military parades, prayers for the martyrs, and educational events to instill national pride.      

GLCT

              GLCT Exam Grade-Level Competency Test (GLCT) The Grade-Level Competency Test (GLCT) was specifically conducted for students receiving educational support from saMas Charity throughout their academic years. These tests were organized in three key Pakistani cities: Lahore, Karachi, and Multan. Tailored to assess students from grades 1 to 8, the initiative was meticulously orchestrated in a physical setting, with Team saMas an integral role. Students benefiting from saMas Charity’s support were invited to designated examination centers in these cities. The primary objective of the GLCT was to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the academic proficiency of each student at their respective grade levels. This assessment was particularly vital in ensuring that the educational standards and learning objectives are consistently met, thereby contributing significantly to the educational advancement of students supported by saMas Charity in Lahore, Karachi, and Multan. Syed Ali Bilgrami (CEO) – Message to the Students   Syed Ali Bilgrami’s voice note for saMas Charity students was an inspiring message aimed at motivating and uplifting the students involved in the charity’s educational programs. In the note, he emphasized the importance of education as a tool for personal and community growth, encouraging students to stay dedicated to their studies despite any challenges they might face. GLCT (Schedule): Multan 2023-12-18 Lahore 2023-12-19 Karachi 2023-12-26 Wasif Zeeshan: Meet Wasif Zeeshan, a bright Grade One student from a The city Public school in Multan city. Wasif was the first in his class to complete the paper entirely on his own, without any assistance. He also achieved the highest marks in his grade. Lunch boxes & Gifts:   The saMas Charity team played a vital role in this process, traveling to each city to ensure the smooth administration of the exam for all eligible students.
